    Dr. Devin Scruton graduated from Yale University in 1987 with a BS in biology. After working at the Baltimore Zoo and then Angell Memorial Animal Hospital as a vet tech he went to vet school at Tufts University class of 1993. After vet school he completed a one year internship in small animal surgery at South Shore Veterinary Associates. He has been the Medical Director at Rotherwood since 2001. His wife and daughter own 3 dogs, 3 horses, 2 goats and various guinea pigs and ducks to keep him occupied when not at work.

  • Megan Krauth

    DVM, Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Megan Krauth was born and raised in central Massachusetts. She attended the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and a minor in Environmental Studies. She then traveled to the Caribbean to attend veterinary school at Ross University in St. Kitts. She completed clinical training at Tufts University followed by a rotating small animal internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in Weymouth. Prior to her arrival at VCA Rotherwood, she worked at an emergency practice on Cape Cod and most recently at Angell West. Outside of work, Dr. Krauth loves to travel (especially anywhere warm!), cook, and spend time with family and friends.

  • Michael McEwan

    DVM, Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Michael McEwan grew up in northern New Jersey. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003 and a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry from Northeastern University in 2008. Dr. McEwan previously worked as a synthetic organic medicinal chemist for nearly 5 years designing new potential drugs for a variety of therapeutic targets, primarily treatments of cancer. In an effort to work more hands-on with patients, Dr. McEwan decided to leave laboratory work behind and move to a more clinical setting. After almost 2 years working as a veterinary technician in Somerville, he applied for veterinary school. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. His interests include dermatology, preventative care, radiology, and pathology. Dr. McEwan volunteers with 2 local feral cat clinics and at a veterinary clinic in Worcester. He has lived in Massachusetts with his wife, a Boston native, and their dog, Sirena, since 2005. They have been Newton residents since 2010 and have two little girls, daughters Leah and Katie. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. McEwan enjoys hiking, canoeing, traveling, weight training, and cooking.
