The Cherrytree Group was founded by Warren Kirshenbaum in 2006.  We offer Tax Credit consulting, brokerage, syndication and specialty finance services.  We are specialists in Federal and State tax credit programs for real estate investment and development., Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit, and Renewable Energy Tax Credits making us a one-stop firm for the various commercial tax credit benefits.   Over the years we have been extremely successful assisting our clients in securing and monetizing millions of dollars in tax credits.

  • Warren Kirshenbaum

    President

    Warren Kirshenbaum is the President of the Cherrytree Group, LLC. Warren founded Cherrytree in 2006 and has spent the past eight years building Cherrytree into a specialist tax credit consultation, brokerage, and syndication firm. He has utilized his expertise to build an office that focuses on the structural and development finance aspects of tax incentivized real estate based transactions, particularly in the environmental remediation (Brownfields), renewable energy, and historic rehabilitation areas. Warren Kirshenbaum has experience in business and real estate; he has worked on corporate and securities transactions, tax credit transactions including the Massachusetts Brownfields Tax Credit, Renewable Energy Tax Credits, such as the Federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and the federal and state historical rehabilitation tax credit.

  • Melina Ambrosino

    Vice President of Operations

    As Vice President of Operations at the Cherrytree Group, Melina focuses on business development and client relations. Melina has spent the past four years forging relationships with LSPs, developers, and real estate professionals, working together on brownfields redevelopment projects and historical redevelopment. Melina brings her extensive knowledge of the various tax credit incentive programs in Massachusetts to her client’s projects. She assists her clients in determining their project’s tax credit eligibility and structuring their projects accordingly. In Melina’s time at the Cherrytree Group, she has assisted in securing millions of dollars in Massachusetts Brownfields tax credits for her clients.

  • Yelena Tsvaygenbaum

    Corporate Counsel

    Yelena Tsvaygenbaum's legal background has been focused on business and commercial real estate matters, including Brownfield's development, commercial leasing, private equity transactions, and all aspects of contract drafting, review, and negotiation. Prior to joining Cherrytree she was in private practice at Orsi Arone Rothenberg Iannuzzi & Turner and at the Transactional Law Group. Ms. Tsvaygenbaum is a magna cum laude graduate of Bentley University, where she studied in the Honors program on a full scholarship, and is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law. While at the University of Connecticut, she was a Managing Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and a Judicial Extern for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court under the Honorable Judge Henry J. Boroff. She also served as a law clerk in the Corporate Legal Department at Liberty Mutual and the Antitrust Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General. Previously, Ms. Tsvaygenbaum worked as an Internal Auditor at John Hancock.
